Here is Shylow the cute, frightening, decieving, sadistic lost forgotten imaginary friend who just wants to have fun.

 

Here is my script for my end of year short film. I was planing to do a super hero film but got writers block and couldn’t develop a climax ending. So typing late at night i developed a story about an imaginary friend, with the genre comedy/thriller.

 My Friend Shylo

Ben in his room with the lights off, sitting on his computer, late at night, playing a computergame.

              Ben
    ah yes i’m gonna getcha, boom headshot ha ha. Ahhhh no damn you AI.

Light turns on by itself and ben hears a noise from behind. Ben turns his head to discover nothing. Wind brushes past a pot plant’s leaves. Ben starts playing the computergame again while something moves quickly past behind Ben in the background. Ben turns around agian.

        Ben (in a slightly frightend tone)
    Is someone there?

Ben notices something moving in the blankets on his bed. Ben gets up in a cautious manner. While walking towards his bed he hears a deep growling noise from the blankets. Ben gets on top of his bed, grabs the blanket and pulls it away to discover a small cute teddybear. Ben sighs in relief and turns back at his computer.

        Shylow (jumps out from behind the filing cabnet in front of Ben)
    RRRHHHHAAAAAAAAAARRRR!

        Ben (screams and falls back on his bed)
    Ahhhh!

        Shylow (jumps on the bed, Lights are flickering, room is shaking as if there is a small earthquake)
    HELLO BEN, REMEMBER ME? (in an angry and frightening tone)

        Ben (with a scared voice and expression)
    NO!

        Shylow
    Its your good friend Shylow. Aw i missed ya buddy (hugs Ben around the neck).

        Ben
    What?, Shylow? (confused, trying to remember). My imaginary friend?

        Shylow (looks up at Ben)
    Yeah just like old times its gonna be awesome, were gonna have soooo much fun!.

        Ben (gets up)
    Wait, i havn’t had an imaginary friend since i was four.

        Shylow
    Yep thats right but now i’m back and we can have the most funnest of times together again.

        Ben (puts his hand to his temples, ignoring Shylow, with a worried voice)
    What the hell? am i delusional? I can’t be seeing things. (pause) Ahh crap i am going to have to go to therapy again (in a depressed or stressed tone).

Ben looks back at his bed to discover Shylow gone.

        Ben
    Shylow? (looks around) are you there? (sighs in relief) ah thank god.

Ben walks back to his computer again and sits down. Glances to his computer and then to the energy drink next to his monitor.

        Ben (picks up the energy drink)
    Ahh, of course, this is just screwing with my head. (looks at clock on computer) And its 2:45 in the morning.

        Shylow (from behind the monitor)
    Of course!, thats definately the reason that your so emotionaly screwed in the head.

        Ben (wide eyed)
    No! your not real.

Ben picks up Shylow with one hand and throws him at the wall behind him.

        Shylow
    Ahhhh! (bang) awww!!

        Ben (turns back to the monitor)
    Ok, ok, now wake up, wake up. (slaps himself in the face from side to side) He is not real. Don’t talk to him

Shylow bouncing up and down on the bed behind Ben.

        Ben
    Wait a minute, emotionaly screwed in the head? (turns around) what do ya mean by that?

         Shylow
    What i mean is, BE-ENN (Sadistic tone, with a smile), Your going CRRRRRAAZY!!! (multiples of Shylow pop out all at once filling the room with loud noises of the room shaking)

All the Shylows dissappear at once leaving the room deaf silent. Ben walkes to the middle of the room.

        Ben (under his breath)
    ah your not gone are you.

Lights turn off

        Ben
    ah crap

Multiple Shylow eyes appear around the room. they all start giggling.

        Ben
    Stop this, its not funny.

Giggles gradually get louder and higher pitch until it gets distorted. Ben puts his hands on his ears. They all stop giggling and lights turn on. Ben looks around the room and then to his leg to find Shylow hugging it.

        Shylow
    You wanna play a game?

        Ben
    No i don’t wanna play a game. (trying to shake Shylow off)

        Shylow
    awwww come on?  

        Ben (stops shaking leg)
    I said no.

        Shylow
    You will regret it. (sadistic tone)

        Ben (slightly scared)
    What do ya mean by that?

        Shylow
    Because it will be the funnest game ever, and we will have so much fun and enjoyment. We will be the bestist of friends. I love having bestist friends (hugs Ben’s leg again) hmmmmmmm. oh yeah AND ILL KILL YA IN YOUR SLEEP IF YA DON’T (scary voice).

        Ben
    Ahh what did you say?

Shylow appears from behind Ben’s head.

        Shylow
    I said I will give you a wet willy if you don’t. Willy, willy, willy.

Gives Ben a wet willy. Ben smiles.

        Ben
    Ok, ok what game do ya wanna play?

        Shylow
    I wanna play CHESS!

        Ben
    what? Chess?

Cuts to a scene of them sitting on the floor playing chess. Ben with a focussed look thinks, then makes a move with confidence.

        Ben
    Ah ha, you better watch out Shylow.

        Shylow
    yeah yeah I know. Knight to D3 CHECK MATE!

        Ben (shocked)
    How did you do that?

        Shylow
    Skill. Told ya we would have fun.

        Ben
    yeah your right. I think it is time for bed.

Ben turns the lights off. and jumps into bed.

        Ben
    Goodnight shylow.

        Shylow
    Goodnight Best friend. Hey Ben?

        Ben
    Yeah?

        Shylow
    Do you remmember back when you were 4, and you blammed me for breaking Mum’s laundry window?

        Ben
    Yeah, I’m sorry Shylow.

Shylow stands up on top of Ben, pulls out a kitchen knife

        Shylow
    WELL SORRY ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH

Shylow starts stabbing Ben with the kitchen knife.

        Ben (screaming)
    I’m sorry, I’m sorry, i’m sorry.

Transition into the morning scene. Ben has sunrise light on his face and is dreaming he is being stabbed

        Ben
    I’m Sorry, I’m sorry

Ben wakes up.

        Ben
    oh thank god it was only a dream.

Shylow laughter echoing in the background. Ben looks around.

        Ben
    Shylow?

In 3D class we are creating our own versions of sackboys that are going to apear in the soon to come big hit Little Big Planet game for PS3. This is going to be a fun project because i am looking forward to get this game later this year. It is funny because earlyer this year i have been watching vidio clips of this game while Nikki next to me has been telling me to stop mucking around and to do my work, but now jokes on her i have been doing my work the whole time.

Last weekend i watched the movie phonebooth on dvd. It was directed by Joel Schumacher and stared Colin Farrell. It turned out to be a very injoyable movie with most of the 90 minute movie focused on the one character in the one scene. Colin Farrell shows how good of an actor he is in this film with the great acting skills and distictive emotions he was able to carry the audience throughout the film and by looking behind the scenes in the special features you are able to see how good of an actor he really is. The thing that suprized me most with this film is that it only took 10 days to film. They used huge light reflectors on the sides of the buildings to get the extra light when they started to loose it at 4pm in order to stretch out the days.

In the past couple of months now i have been thinking of my next Personal Project. Last years Animation was primarily to show my skills such as character creation, story telling, animation, sound editing, lip syncing, voice acting, background development and 3D modeling all within a short 3 minute animation. In which had primarily gotten me into chisholm Tafe’s advanced diploma of multimedia and my job as an IT interactive assisstant in which i love doing because all i need to do is sit around creating animated diagrams of air compressors. But for my next Personal Project i shall incorporate the 7 step outline allowing my characters to have more dialog and character development throughout the animation and not just action scenes with no background information or reason that these characters are witnessing.

We are currently creating small sets for future stop-motion animation and i do not believe i shall be finnishing on time for all i have done is the modeling and have not yet started texturing so hopefully i will be able to buy some sprey cans on thursday and give it a good look for tuesday. all in all making this set has been fun so far and cannot wait to get it finnished.

His name is shed and he is a demon with super agility, he is skilled with double bladed swords and is currently experiancing some mental urges (demon urges) to kill and make trouble, thus the reson to visit the underground biogenetic hacker Duncan to fix these anger problems.

 

7-Step Outline

Back to the future I

The Setup
Marty is a 17 year old student who lives in hill valley, California, in 1985. He lives with his mother, father and older brother and sister. His friend is Dr. Emmett Brown who is a scientist and has a girlfriend named Jennifer. Marty has his dreams set on being a musician but is failing to get a record deal. He is also dreaming to own a certain Toyota truck. His teacher Mr stricklen for being late for classes gives Marty a hard time.

Inciting incident
Marty meets up with Dr Brown to test his new invention a time machine.  Terrorists interrupted the demonstration where Doctor brown gets shot and Marty travels back in time to the year 1955. Marty is then trapped in the year 1955 and is thought to have no return to his life in the future.

Act 1 Turning Point
In following his younger found father (George), he accidentally interferes with the first meeting between his future parents. Marty meets up with the 1955 version of Doc and enlisted his help.

Mid-Point
Marty’s mission is to try to get his parents (Lorraine and George) to fall in love, or they would never marry and Marty would never have been born. Marty tricks George into asking Lorraine out to the dance, but George fails and Marty is then chased by Biff (a bully), but is outsmarted by Marty into crashing his car.

 Act 2 Turning point
Marty sets up a rescue mission for george to save Lorraine from him as he tries to annoy her in the car at the dance. This is interupted by biff taking marty’s place. The band’s lead guitarist hurts his hand and cannot play and Marty runs out of time to travel thrue time and save warn Doc in the future.
